From Standards to Success: Atlantic Influences and the Birth of American Republicanism

Building on strategies introduced in Planning and Assessing for the U.S. History EOCEP, this training offers a focused exploration of USHC Standard 1. Participants unpack key indicators, analyze embedded historical thinking skills, and align instruction to the EOCEP blueprint and Performance Level Descriptors (PLDs). Through guided planning, teachers design content-rich lessons and differentiated assessments that reflect the political, economic, and intellectual foundations of the early American republic. Final materials are contributed to a collaborative resource bank for classroom use.
