Description:
Counting and Cardinality and Operations and Algebraic Thinking are about understanding and using numbers. Counting and Cardinality builds the foundations for Operations and Algebraic Thinking and Number and Operations in Base Ten.  Learners begin with early counting and telling how many in one group of objects.   From these early roots grow all operations:  addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  The concepts and ideas found in this progression are crucial and must be taught in ways that are interesting and engaging to young students. This online course is designed to aid teachers in doing exactly that by examining how students develop those ideas, as well as how they are connected across grade levels from Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth grade.

Important!!  If you purchase 2 or more course seats, you must send a registrant list to Margaret Lorimer at: mlorimer@s2temsc.org
